3M, Saint-Gobain to Pay $65.25 Million to Settle PFAS Class

Two chemical companies and one chemical manufacturer have agreed to pay $65.25 million to settle a putative class action brought by residents of Hoosick Falls, NY. The residents allege that 3M Co., Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp. and Honeywell International, Inc. contaminated their water supply with Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA). E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. was also named as a defendant but declined to participate in the settlement.
