Taxotere

Taxotere (docetaxel) is an intravenous chemotherapeutic drug used to treat many types of cancer, including breast cancer. In 2005, manufacturer Sanofi-Aventis began including warnings on package inserts about an increased risk for irreversible hair loss (alopecia) in the European Union and Canada. The company did not include warning labels in the U.S. until a decade later. Thousands of lawsuits are currently pending.
