J&J Set Aside $3.9B for Talc Settlements

According to a recent securities filing, Johnson & Johnson set aside $3.9 billion in litigation expenses in 2020 that was primarily earmarked for talc-related cases and settlements, nearly double the $2.1 billion it said it was putting aside in November. J&J is currently facing 25,000 lawsuits related to the alleged presence of cancer-causing asbestos in its talc products.
