Teva Pharmaceutical Industries announced that the company may pay as much as $3.6 billion in cash and medicine to settle thousands of opioid lawsuits. The suits allege Teva and other drug companies fueled the U.S. opioid epidemic, Reuters reports.
The world’s largest generic drugmaker, Israel-based Teva, reached a $225 million settlement with Texas in early February, including $150 million in cash and $75 million in products.
